Tochtech to Collaborate with Top Clinicians in Innovation Factory’s HEALTHI Program

DELTA, BC – November 17, 2024 – Tochtech is pleased to be accepted into Innovation Factory’s HEALTHI (Hamilton Ecosystem to Accelerate and Leverage Trials of Health Innovation) program, delivered in partnership with the Synapse Life Science Consortium. HEALTHI supports Canadian-based life science companies to work with world-class clinicians and hospital facilities to create pre-trial protocols and documents required to undertake a commercialization project or clinical trial. HEALTHI services are supported in part by funding from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP).

As part of the HEALTHI program, Tochtech is working with the Innovation and Partnerships Team at The Research Institute of St. Joe’s Hamilton to assess a use case for Tochtech in an Ontario healthcare organization.  Outcomes from the HEALTHI project may lead to downstream innovation evaluation opportunities and may help St. Joe’s Hamilton gain insight into challenges faced with sleep monitoring of its patients.

“Tochtech is thrilled to be accepted into Innovation Factory’s HEALTHI program and to be working in partnership with St. Joe’s Hamilton,” said Jessica Yang, CEO of Tochtech Technologies. “I am confident that through this program we will be able to demonstrate the value ‘Sleepsense’ will bring to improving patient and quality of care outcomes. To date, Sleepsense is being used to support thousands of seniors and care staff in Long Term Care by offering critical insights and filling gaps in the provision of care. This partnership is important to Tochtech as we expand our reach into the healthcare sector.”

David Carter, Innovation Factory’s CEO, commented, “HEALTHI provides support and resources to disruptive health technology innovators, like Tochtech. These businesses are not only actively enhancing healthcare and its management but also spurring economic development as they scale their successful start-ups.”
