Tochtech is thrilled to be selected as one of 16 SMEs nationally to participate in the envisAGE national initiative, created to propel Canada to the forefront of the AgeTech sector and foster quality aging nationwide.
The first phase of this initiative involves 16 collaborative projects resulting from an unprecedented national mobilization through envisAGE, and the creation of an ecosystem investment of almost $20M.
Tochtech will be collaborating with Les Habitations Bordeleau, Living Lab Lanaudière, Bruyère Continuing Care to evaluate sensor technology for supporting frail older adults remotely, allowing them to age in place by enhancing safety and health measures in care units and assisted living settings. Tochtech’s Vericare, remote monitoring platform will be implemented in the community living setting, while the Toch Sleepsense, sleep sensor will be implemented in the complex care community setting.
“This collaborative project will allow us to showcase how a single sensor technology platform has the ability to support healthcare organizations delivering diverse service models across complex care and community living settings. The ability to customize a platform depending on the needs of a care provider and their clients is critical moving forward as more organizations look to technology as a means of enhancing their care delivery models” said Jessica Yang, CEO of Tochtech.
