Tochtech Technologies is proud to announce the successful installation of our Sleepsense sleep and bed-exit monitoring technology throughout the Stó:lõ Elders Lodge, an Assisted Living community in Chilliwack, British Columbia.
This partnership marks another important milestone in Tochtech’s mission to support senior care communities with innovative technology that enhances quality of life and the safety for residents. Stó:lõ Elders Lodge represents Tochtech’s inaugural First Nation’s senior home to join an expanding number of seniors’ homes using Sleepsense in providing care for residents, and demonstrates the company’s commitment in supporting diverse communities. The Stó:lõ Elders Lodge, operated by the Stó:lõ Nation, provides Assisted Living services and is known for its commitment to culturally appropriate elder care, and we are honoured to contribute to that standard of excellence.

The Sleepsense platform provides real-time, contactless monitoring of residents’ sleep patterns and bed-exit activity during the night. This allows staff to respond quickly to potential falls or health issues, while also gaining valuable insights into residents’ sleep patterns and quality—without being disruptive. Improving sleep quality has a direct impact on health outcomes for seniors. Research consistently shows that better sleep contributes to reduced fall risk, improved cognitive function, and overall emotional wellbeing.
